The Jetty Specialist was established in April 1986 as an operating company specialising in the design, construction and installation of pontoons and boardwalks for the South East Queensland domestic waterfront market .

Since then the Jetty Specialist has become the leading supplier within the domestic market and through continual focus on research and development has subsequently expanded into the commercial and government areas as well.

From humble beginnings Neil and Leith Morris, the joint Managing Directors, have developed the company to three subsidiaries operating under the parent company The Marina Specialist Pty Ltd.

All three subsidiaries, The Jetty Specialist, The Piling People and AusFloat Pty Ltd operate from owned factory premises located at 2 Industrial Avenue, Caloundra, Queensland 4551 Australia.

The Marina Specialist Pty Ltd offers a full design and construction service to developers and owners of marinas. Many substantial projects have been completed and others are under various stages of development now and these are listed for your information below.

The Jetty Specialist is the registered trading name of the overall business, however, this section is also responsible for the design and construction of domestic pontoons, jetties and commercial structures.

In late 1997 The Piling People was established to offer a wide range of water and land based piling services in conjuncion with design and construction of boardwalks and pontoon systems or to operate as a stand-alone contract piling sevice.

In 1998 AusFloat Pty Ltd was incorporated specifically for the design, development, fabrication and marketing of a new polyethylene modular pontoon system. The AusFloat system incorporates the best features of many concepts meeting the Australian Standard for Marina Design (AS 3962)

The company's expertise also extends to Real Estate Development and the operation of its own marina at Raby Bay in Queensland.
Recently the development company was appointed to develop the $72 million marina and multi unit residential project at Mackay, Queensland by the Mackay Port Authority and the Mackay City Council.

The company is based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia where the construction of our pontoons is undertaken at the purpose built factory in Caloundra, Industrial Avenue. Currently the staff consists of 65 employees with over 100 years combined experience in the marine docking industry.

Customer service and satisfation is our principal focus and this has been the catalyst for our continual development. Many years of experience in design and building of pontoons, jetties and boardwalks allow us to supply the most structurally sound and value for money systems in the market place today. All of our structures are purpose built to suit individual requirements.
