The Jetty Specialist was established in April 1986 as an operating company specialising in the design, construction and installation of pontoons and boardwalks for the South East Queensland domestic waterfront market.
Since then the Jetty Specialist has become the leading supplier within the domestic market and through continual focus on research and development has subsequently expanded into the commercial and government areas as well.
Over time Neil and Leith Morris, developed the company into three major entities operating under the parent company The Marina Specialist Pty Ltd.
The TJS Marine Group Pty Ltd offers a full design and construction service to developers and owners of marinas. Many substantial projects have been completed and others are under various stages of development now and these are listed for your information below.
The Jetty Specialist is the registered trading name of the pontoon and marina business and is responsible for the design and construction of domestic pontoons, jetties and marina structures.
In late 1997 The Piling People was established to offer a wide range of water and land based piling services in conjuncion with design and construction of boardwalks and pontoon systems or to operate as a stand-alone contract piling service.
In 1998 AusFloat Pty Ltd was incorporated specifically for the design, development, fabrication and marketing of a new polyethylene modular pontoon system. The AusFloat system incorporates the best features of many concepts meeting the Australian Standard for Marina Design (AS 3962)
The TJS Marine Group company products have seen them recognized as a “supplier of choice” in the delivery and installation of environmentally sensitive marine infrastructure components around the Australian coastline. These products have ranged from residential leisure pontoons to high volume water intake structures for major water supply utilities and floating walkway infrastructure at public boat ramps for Government departments. In addition the factory produces highly specialized disabled access ferry pontoons and navigational beacon structures for various government agencies involved in public transport.
